It had only been a year since Riku’s partner pokemon, that he had received as a Cyndaquil, reached its final stage, becoming a Typhlosion. At first Riku hadn’t thought much about the fire type pokemon’s size, how it was bigger than pretty much any other member of its species. Growing up with his partner since he was a kid and watching it reaching its final stage just as he became a teenager. And in its final stage there was no denying that his partner wasn’t just any regular kind of Typhlosion but an alpha variant: one that was much, much larger and stronger than the average that could be found in the wilds. 

There was still much about pokemon that was being discovered. Having an alpha as a partner got Riku the attention of a local researcher that he worked under, getting paid for conducting surveys and doing other tasks while also documenting the behaviors of pokemon. From Riku’s own observations, there were some differences between pokemon that were raised in the wild vs those who were brought up with a trainer for most of their lives. Like people, pokemon had their own individual tastes and natures. Even two pokemon of the same species and even gender could like different kinds of berries or be more prone to aggression than the other. 

An observation that Riku could make firsthand was that for some pokemon, evolving could lead to a change in personality. When he first received his partner as a Cyndaquil it had a very gentle and timid nature. As a Quilava he grew more curious and braver but maintained his gentleness. And finally as a Typhlosion, he still had those base traits. No longer timid, he was still prone to being bashful if Riku were to tease him despite how much larger and stronger he was. But in his final stage Typhlosion had gained many new traits that hadn’t been present before. 

With his natural strength, size, and abilities from gaining the ghost typing, his partner became completely sure of himself to the point that he became rather smug. But he was also rather lazy, preferring not to go out of his way unless he had to and even then he expected some kind of praise or reward for helping out. Riku had to suppose that he was the cause of that. Looking back he did spoil his partner a lot, giving him plenty of praise for using his abilities to help out with trekking through the wilderness. There were other elements at play. Supposedly there was a recent discovery that strong pokemon were more likely to obey trainers that had a lot of experience, specifically battling experience. And Riku was a total novice when it came to battling and his typhlosion showed very little interest in them. 

Instead Riku and his partner gained their experience through other means. Since he was young Riku had been sexually involved with his partner. They had always been together so Riku didn’t see it as a big deal, helping his pokemon out when he was in the mood and needing relief. And things escalated from there to the point that it could be said they were bonded like an actual couple. Not just from how often they did sexual things but how they interacted. Sharing everything they had, being protective of each other, and even bickering from time to time. Maybe raising his pokemon, having sex with him throughout without battling caused a different outcome? 

Either way, despite how aloof his partner could be sometimes, Riku genuinely loved him and everything about him. His size and strength got them plenty of attention and wild pokemon hardly ever messed with them, becoming instantly intimidated by the alpha pokemon. They worked together well to complete tasks and get plenty of coin to get plenty of things for themselves in the village, even having a place of their own that was suitable for Ty’s size. Riku had also purchased a custom tent kit that would be big enough for him and Ty. Before then they made due with Riku laying underneath the huge 9 foot fire type, his body of course always being perfectly warm. 

Currently they were out in the wilderness. Riku’s aim was to handle multiple tasks given to him at once. To make a delivery to an acquaintance of his boss and along the way he was to capture a few pokemon. He was taught how to at least capture other pokemon but he never kept them. They were handed off so research could be done and once his boss made the observations he was looking for, those caught pokemon were given to those of the village, allowing more to have a partner of their own or new addition to their team. Though the concept of pokemon battling did interest him from time to time, Riku felt that he only needed Ty. He was content being an assistant as it gave him things to do and places to go in exchange for pay. 

The best part for him was the ‘in betweens’ from Point A to Point B. Most tasks only took a day or two to complete. But those few that had them traversing longer distances or staking out in the wilderness to observe pokemon behaviors or seek out rare ones were his favorite. He got to spend ample time with Ty in the wild and being out in the open meant they were away from the many eyes within the village. Though it seemed the world of pokemon and human coexistence was becoming more solidified by the day, there were still some gaps. Apparently people feeling romantically bonded with their pokemon and even having sex with them was in this realm of social grey area. It wasn’t decided if doing so was taboo or not since pokemon clearly had more intelligence that people were initially led to believe. All the same the societal norm was to not discuss it and if others were having relations with their pokemon like Riku was, it was most often done in private. 

That suited the pair fine, as long as they could have each other. Getting most of the way to their destination they stopped for the night and made camp. Ty was a big help in setting it up with his height and he never got tired of Riku’s praise from that and providing fire to cook their food. For those tasks, along with the other things he did earlier that day such as clearing a fallen log from a path and assisting with weakening a pokemon they needed to catch, Ty felt he was due for a reward. 

Instead of attempting to get Riku’s attention, Ty just took matters into his own paws by reaching them out and snatching up the human. Riku suddenly found himself hugged against the fire type’s chest, subjecting him to the large pokemon’s musk. They had been walking about all day and Ty had put in the extra effort of moving that log and battling that pokemon so his scent was even stronger than usual and his pelt was damp to the touch from sweat. While keeping Riku close with his paws the pokemon was also cleverly using his ghost powers to pull Riku’s vest and shirt from his body, having his bare skin touching the sweaty fur. 

“Ty!” Riku said, the name coming out muffled against the bigger body. It all happened so quickly for him, being hugged against something so warm and furry, his nose subjected to the pure scent coming from it. He knew what Ty was trying to do but he couldn’t get out of the grip he was in or hold his breath forever. He inhaled and the musk was poured into his nose, hitting his senses hard but he didn’t stop breathing it in after that first inward breath. It was easier to handle and got more appealing the more he did it, his body starting to tingle and his mind becoming refocused on other things. 

Ty was smirking as he kept the human close to him, knowing that he was in control. He knew how to get his way, using his charms, sizes, and abilities to make Riku cave and give into his own desires. All it took was some teasing in the right ways to do so. And Riku already loved so much of him to start with, finding his body and its features irresistible. Against his chest he could feel the human’s sniffing. 

When he felt that Riku had gotten enough, Ty simply let go and the human slid down his body. Of course the pokemon was always naked and with him being so large it was impossible not to notice his loins but having them up close and right in his face, Riku felt his own excitement rising higher. He reached out and started to rub Ty’s belly but from there he was moving his touch even lower...
